Why is Managing Your Home so Difficult?

From the outside, it looks easy to manage a home.

If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me "So what do you do all day?" or "Do you get incredibly bored with nothing to do all day?" I would be writing this email from some beach somewhere and not watching it snow right now.

It seems like it should be so easy.

But it isn't.

What looks like just a couple of simple tasks from the outside can cause stress, anxiety, and chaos on the inside.

Why is that?

Because every one of those "easy things" that we moms are supposed to do isn't easy.

Let's take meal planning for example.

You just have to sit down and write out a plan, right?

Wrong.

You have to figure out breakfasts, lunches, and dinners for the number of people in your family for the entire week (or month, or year). And if you have picky eaters, the number of meals can easily double or triple!

Then you have to find time in an already busy week to go to the grocery store.

But wait! Before you go to the grocery store, you need to see what food you already have in your refrigerator, freezer, and pantry and compare the current inventory of food with all of your recipes for the week to make sure that you aren't buying more than you need.

Then, when you go to make the food, you need to make sure that you started cooking early enough so that you can eat and get your kids to bed (or if you have older kids, eat then head out again for the evening activities!).

THEN if all of those steps happened perfectly everything should be on the table before the kids start getting too hungry... But that's assuming you didn't get interrupted 2.5 million times as you were trying to cook.

And that's just ONE aspect of home management.

If this scenario sounded way too familiar to you, I want to invite you to my Free Workshop tomorrow, Wednesday March 1 at 1:00pm Pacific Time.

I will be talking about the 5 Steps to Streamlining Your Home in 15 Minutes a Day Without Stress.

If you are a mom who feels like you are are trying to juggle a million things every day, this workshop will show you how to trade your chaos for calm.

(We've already tackled paying off two of the extra expenses, yay!) If you're finding yourself in a similar situation, you've got to check out my...

I struggled with feeding my babies. And not just for the first couple of weeks... Even after going through the infant stage 3 times, I wished there was an easy way to know that a baby is getting enough food.I mean, couldn't we come with gauges on either moms or babies to make sure everything is transferring properly? Well it turns out, there ARE practical ways to know if your baby is getting enough food, and it doesn't involved buying a baby scale or anything like that (phew!).When a friend...
